Meet our Teachers
Director:
Becky Tartline – Becky has been the preschool director since 2015. Before that she nurtured the children in the Little Lambs class for nine years! She has a B.A. in English from Gettysburg College and a master’s degree in education from Millersville University. She has taught high school English as well as writing classes at HACC. Her adult son and daughter are both graduates of St. Timothy’s.
Little Lambs:
Taylor Headings - This is Taylor's first year teaching at St. Timothy's. She received a bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from York College of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in education from Wilkes University. She taught 6th and 7th grade in the Middletown Area School District for 7 years. After having her son, she decided to take a break from the classroom to stay at home with him. Her son was a Panda Bear last year and will be in the Lively Lions this year. During her son's time in the Panda Bears class, she also served on the St. Timothy Parent Board. Taylor is looking forward to getting back into the classroom and beginning a new adventure teaching preschool with the Little Lambs!
Mackenzie Boyd - This is Mackenzie’s second year teaching at St. Timothy’s. She has over 15 years of childcare experience. For the past 11 years she was a private nanny of two St. Timothy alumni. Mackenzie and her husband have two daughters. Their oldest daughter graduated from St. Timothy’s and will be starting in first grade this fall, and their youngest daughter is thrilled to be in the Teddy Bears class this year! In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cross stitching and traveling all over the world. She is very excited to teach at St. Tim’s again this year!
Teddy Bears:
Erin Deschane – Erin began teaching at St. Tim’s in 2016. She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Baylor University in Texas where she grew up. She worked for a technology company in Dallas as well as an advertising agency in Washington, D.C. before becoming a stay-at-home mom to 2 daughters, now ages 17 and 15. Both are graduates of St. Timothy and loved how warm and welcoming it was. Erin loves bringing that environment to the Teddy Bear families!
Joy Harbold – This is Joy’s sixth year teaching at St. Tim’s. She majored in fine art at HACC and enjoyed student teaching in an elementary art classroom, as well as teaching swimming lessons and summer camp. She then earned her bachelor's degree in communications from West Chester University and went on to teach English and Art at a high school in Florida. She moved home to Pennsylvania primarily to be a stay-at-home mom to her children as well as to host occasional mobile paint nights. Joy has 3 children, two daughters who graduated from St. Timothy’s, and a son who will be attending St. Timothy's this year. Joy is excited to play, learn, and grow with the Teddy Bears class this year!
Lively Lions:
Kate Piccolo – This will be Kate's third year teaching at St. Timothy's. She received a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. Following college, Kate spent two years serving with AmeriCorps, teaching English as a Second Language and traveling around the United States. After this she returned home and worked for seven years for the Department of Human Services for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Kate has two children who are 10 and 7 years old. Her youngest is a graduate of St. Timothy's. Kate loves reading, hiking, and spending time with kids. She’s so excited to spend time with the Lively Lions this year!
Leah Farabelli – This is Leah’s fifth year at St. Tim’s. Before that, her career was in Human Resources, and she spent almost 20 years in the banking industry, including 16 years at PNC Bank as a learning facilitator. She has taught Sunday School, been a Girl Scout leader, and was a room parent for many years. During the last ten years she has been babysitting her growing grandchild team, including three grandchildren who graduated from St. Tim's. She is very excited to help teach the Lively Lions class this year!
Wise Owls:
Sarah Langan - Sarah is excited to return to St. Tim’s and be at teacher for her sixth year in the Wise Owl's class! Her three children, Rory, Patrick and Ava, are all graduates of St. Tim’s. Sarah also taught second grade for eight years in the Lower Dauphin School District. She earned her Master’s in Literacy Education from Penn State Harrisburg and has tutored many children in reading. She can’t wait to use her knowledge of teaching to help the Wise Owls as they prepare for kindergarten!
Brittney Coyle - This is Brittney's fifth year teaching at St. Timothy Preschool. She spent two years working with the Little Lambs and two years working with the Lively Lions before moving to the Wise Owls. Prior to that, she served on the St. Timothy Parent Board while her two daughters attended preschool. Brittney has enjoyed working with children since she was a teenager. She currently serves on the PTO Board at her daughters' school, as well as volunteering her time as a Girl Scout Leader and parent helper at a local dance studio. Brittney received a bachelor's degree from Shippensburg University. She is looking forward to teaching the Wise Owls as they prepare for kindergarten!
